The Grim Reaper: Gregory Scarpa a Colombo Family Hitman

In the late 1960s the FBI faces heavy criticism in its handling of the safety of African Americans in the south. January 10, 1966 the home of Vernon Dahmer, President of a local NAACP chapter is attacked by members of the White Nights of the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK started shooting at the Dahmer house with shotguns, then they started throwing gas jugs at the home. Dahmer’s home, car, and grocery store were destroyed in the fire. The Nuova Villa was Masseria’s favorite restaurant. One notable soldier at the sit down was Charles “Lucky” Luciano. At one-point during the meal, Luciano heads to the washroom. Masseria is now sitting in the restaurant with two bodyguards. Four hitmen enter the room and spray bullets at Masseria. Masseria is fatally wounded and he is shot once in the head, and five shots in the back.
